After coaching BHS in 1937 and 1938 Dr. Walter G. Watson left Bainbridge and went into medicine. He is currently a well known and loved doctor in Augusta where amazingly he is still practicing medicine at 100 years old.
Katie Couric did a piece on him recently and he estimates he has delivered 12-15,000 babies in his lifetime.

Both my kids were born at the W.G. Watson Women's Center at University Hospital, not by him though. VERY interesting tidbit. Thanks.
