==Game summary==
The Valdosta contingent saved the day for the South. The Rebs dominated the statistics, leading 225-61 in total offense and 14-4 in first downs. Still, the game was a scoreless tie entering the fourth. Valdosta’s Billy Grant, who would play at UGA, threw six yards to fellow Valdostan Charley Jordan early in the fourth quarter for the game’s only score. The game drew 24,000 fans to Grant Field, the largest to attend a North-South game to this point.
