Glynn Academy’s George Rose (an Auburn signee) went 59 yards on the first play of the game. The South didn't score, but the rout was on. The South scored twice in the second on runs by Don Porterfield (7 yards) and Ronnie Dixon (4 yards). The Rebs added two more scores in the fourth on runs by Richard Boykin (5) and Len Hauss (9).
