Waynesboro High &amp;amp; Industrial was an African-American school in Waynesboro.&lt;br /&gt;

== History ==&lt;br /&gt;
Waynesboro High &amp;amp; Industrial was one of many public black high schools&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;The True Citizen, August 23, 1951&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; in Waynesboro until building projects under the Minimum Foundation Program were completed in 1955. The changes affected all of Burke County&amp;#039;s black students, reducing their number of schools in the county from 42 to six.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;The True Citizen, May 26, 1955&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; A new Waynesboro High &amp;amp; Industrial was built in the program.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;The True Citizen, September 30, 1954&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Waynesboro High &amp;amp; Industrial would change its name to Blakeney in 1965 in honor of longtime educator R.E. Blakeney. The high school portion of Blakeney would close with integration in 1970.&lt;br /&gt;

== Football ==&lt;br /&gt;
Football seems to have begun at Waynesboro High &amp;amp; Industrial in 1958. The squad reached the region playoffs in 1964, losing to Elder.&lt;br /&gt;
