Lee County High School is a public secondary school located in Leesburg, Georgia

History

Football

Lee County's football program began in 1971.

Their first playoff appearance was in 1997 under head coach Tim Goodin. The Trojans traveled to Woodward Academy and lost.

Their first playoff win was in 1999 vs Thomson. Lee traveled to Thomson as a #4 seed in Region 1-AAA and won before falling to Woodward Academy in the 2nd round.

Lee's first region championship came in 2005 under coach David Johnson.

Dean Fabrizio became Lee County's head coach in 2009. Under Fabrizio, Lee won region titles in 2013, 2017, and 2018. Also under Fabrizio, Lee also won its first state championship in 2017 and repeated in 2018. Lee County played a 16th game on ESPNU in the GEICO State Champion Challenge, falling to St. Frances Academy Panthers of Baltimore, Maryland, 43-14. St. Francis Academy finished 10-0 and ranked #4 nationally by USA Today and #6 nationally by MaxPreps..
