Game summary

Trailing 14-0 at halftime, the South rallied with four touchdowns in the second half to win 27-14. South quarterback Chip Davis hit wideout Randy Fisher for long gainers to set up the first two scores, runs by James Jackson and Davis. Davis then threw 43 to Fisher for the go-ahead touchdown. Fisher, the game’s Offensive MVP, had all four of the South’s pass receptions for 143 yards. Thomson linebacker Jerry Winfrey was the Defensive MVP. North quarterback Dennis Wallace scored on a one-yard sneak in the second quarter. Druid Hills’ quarterback Mike Brinkley added the second touchdown on a 15-yard keeper. Lakeshore’s Marquis Grissom kicked both extra points.
