Game summary
The South used its huge offensive line (276 lbs per man) to grind down the North. The Rebs drove the length of the field on their opening possession and took a 3-0 lead on Jason Bradley’s 32-yard field goal. Chris Cole ran from 3 yards later in the first to make it 10-0. Quentin Davis ran from 3 in the second quarter to make the halftime score 17-0. The North defense held the South to just 9 yards in the second half, but the damage had already been done. Rod Sparks of Westside, a 240-lb fullback, was the South MVP. He led a balanced rushing attack with 57 yards. The North MVP was defensive back Walker Atrice of Lakeside-DeKalb, a UGA signee.
