Marist
Marist is a private college preparatory school in Atlanta, Georgia founded in 1901.
Football
Marist dropped football for the 1952 season, citing the expense of fielding a team.
Shorty Doyal was both the head coach at Marist and the Commissioner of Fulton County at the time, which may have also played a role in the private school's decision.
