Eddy was a former African-American school located in Milledgeville

History

Eddy began as a private school. The building burned in 1925 and 1946,[1] but was not rebuilt after the second fire. Eddy's students were combined with Carver High School,[2] which had also recently burned. The new school, finished in 1949, was too small for the student load, leading to a new high school being built just seven years later.

In Eddy's final year as a school, the Georgia Educational Directory noted it had oversize classes and an excessive teaching load.[3]

Football

Eddy played at least two football seasons:1932 and 1938.
